Descripción
Sumario:This article is characterized as a theoretical essay that addresses introductory aspects of classical and modern psychometry. Thus, we present a brief history of development, as well as concepts and general characteristics of each of the approaches. For the classic test theory we present its basic model, assumptions and the parameters of the commonly used items, the difficulty and discrimination. For the item response theory, we present the concept of the item's characteristic curve, the frequently used parameters, the difficulty, discrimination and casual adjustment, the most common assumptions and models. With this essay, we hope to present the most basic concepts for beginners in the study of psychometry within the scope of educational assessment.
