| Sumario: | In this paper we discuss two points: 1) how to give to the dictionay another place in the Portugueses classes, beyond your regulatory function about concepts, meanings and definitions; and 2) how to propose pedagogical reflections about the work with the genre entry to enlarge the possibilities of the teaching and learning Portuguese from texts. Therefore, we start from consultation and analysis of the entry "gypsy" in four dictionaries of different centuries. Then, we analyze the definition of "gypsy" in a remarkable novel of Brazilian literature of the century. XIX, as well as adapting the genre comics, dated century XXI. Finally, we turn to other genres that do not define themselves but which take the gypsy in any approach found in dictionaries surveyed. We looked at the treatment of this word, focusing on micro and macro-structural aspects of these texts and genres. Throughout this paper, we presented teaching suggestions from which the reader-teacher can develop strategies that ensure significant practices of classroom language. |
