JEL Classification: F31; F4; O11.A maneira adequada de neutralizar a doença holandesa é a imposição de um imposto variável sobre a exportação da mercadoria que originou a doença. Se esse imposto for equivalente ao "tamanho" da doença holandesa, ele mudará para a direita sua curva de oferta da mercadoria em relação à taxa de câmbio, fornecendo o sypply doméstico existente e a demanda internacional, a taxa de câmbio se depreciará em o valor do imposto e a taxa de câmbio do quiligrium passará do equilíbrio "atual" para o "industrial".
