Descripción
Sumario:The work entitled "The resurgence of prison in times of neoliberalism and conservatism in Brazil" aims to analyze the elements and interconnections that permeate social relations and punitive logic in Brazil, considering the interests of capital, discussing its consequences in the processes of incarceration. in the neoliberal and conservative context today. The methodology comprised a bibliographic and documentary study. In times of capital crisis from the perspective of neoliberalism and conservatism, necropolitics has been a practice adopted by the State, with the genocide of the remaining population through the repressive apparatus of the State and mass incarceration. The results pointed out the particularities of ideological, legal-normative and institutional strategies in Brazil with a punitive character based on racialized parameters, which structure and deepen the inequalities engendered in the context of capitalism.
