Descrição
Resumo:The present study seeks to problematize the implementation of public policies for inclusion in Brazilian higher education based on the report of an experience with a transsexual university student diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder.  The study is qualitative and exploratory in nature and data were collected from interviews.  The main difficulties reported were the lack of specific training for teachers and didactic-pedagogical adaptations, and the failure to implement an individualized teaching plan. Psychotherapy, the university's accessibility and inclusion center, and the course coordination mediations contributed to reducing barriers to inclusion.
