Descripción
Sumario:This paper analyzes the characteristics of the contestation discourse against Covid-19 vaccines on Telegram Brazil. We identified four groups, from descriptors associated with the vaccine theme, that addressed the vaccine issue from December 2020 to February 2022. Using the Grounded Theory method, we performed a qualitative analysis of the main arguments, to contest vaccines, presented in those groups. The results reveal three lines of argument used to question Covid-19 vaccines: (1) fears about safety and efficacy, (2) claims of obscure interests in the management of the pandemic and the development of vaccines and (3) defense of freedom and privacy. the comprehension of those arguments aims to contribute to the development of strategies to contain the damage caused by misinformation regarding individual and collective health.
