| Sumario: | This text brings up the discussion about the reclaiming of the Nheengatu language from the analysis of the recollection process, which constitutes a broad set of the reclaiming policy that aims to reinsert the Nheengatu as an ethnic language in the sociolinguistic scenario of Baixo Tapajós. Our discussions have as its starting point the reflections, discourses and memories that were developed along with our interlocutors through a collaborative methodology, in which knowledge production was built collectively in interviews and workshops, which emphasized the perspective that they have on the actions built by the indigenous movement and their organizations since the late 1990s, when the ethnic mobilization began. That being said, the recollection process provides us with conditions for establishing a conscience about the sociocultural and linguistic continuums, both referring to the Nheengatu language as well as to those continuums that are materialized in linguistic resources and in the still existing ancestral ways of life. Therefore, these knowledges are configured in the shape of a network that mobilizes dynamic and complex linguistic phenomena, that occur through social and political resistance and insurgency, and finally, through the recollections and the reclaiming of the Nheengatu language in the Baixo Tapajós. |
