| Sumario: | Based on the idea that the dramatic text can be a vehicle for symbolism, the present study verifies how the play O Paradise Perdido, by Teatro da Vertigem, evokes poetic meanings in the indications it suggests for the performance. To this end, this study is based on Paul Zumthor's ideas about performance and the works of Bachelard, Durand and other imaginary researchers, investigating what symbols are conveyed by the play and how performance constructs and communicates symbols specific to poetic language. |
