Resumo:The work analyzes Palma, a social currency, which is valid only to the Palmeiras Complex, low-income neighborhood on the outskirts of Fortaleza - Ce. In accordance with this work sought to show that the policy of Solidarity Economy, complemented with the use of the currency itself, implemented by the Bank feeds the network of local solidarity, as a parallel tool facilitating the marketing of the community by income circulate in the neighborhood and promoting economic growth. To develop this work was intended to work with articles produced by the Brazilian network of social economy, as well as books, materials and field research about Palmas Bank. From the data collected in field research, it was found that: The assistance of the managers of the bank and its customers together with the social currency functioning as a bonus site, impacting positively on sales of the companies analyzed, and the loan these companies operate in a direct increase in the productivity from them.
