Descrição
Resumo:The Dekasegi phenomenon started in Brazil and Latin America in the 1980s and refers to Japanese descendants who migrated to Japan in search of employment. Recently, many families have returned to Brazil, along with their children. This research aimed to investigate the difficulties of those people in adapting or readapting to the Brazilian culture, particularly in the school environment. A clinical investigation method and interviews with parents and their children were used to that end. The findings show factors that contribute to worsen the difficulties of children in adapting to their new environment.
