Descripción
Sumario:The prosopis juliflora (algaroba) is a species that was introduced in Brazil around the 40's. The plant has a very high applicability resulting in diversified products such as biofuels and food. This article deals with a technological prospecting study on the algaroba, using patents as sources of information. Key terms in the PatentInsparation® platform were used to collect information. “Macro”, “meso” and “micro” analyzes were carried out, aiming at raising the main technological characteristics. The search resulted in 43 patents that were analyzed on the aspects, quantitative, chronological, depositor countries and holding institutions. After filtering two patents of interest were selected, addressing technologies on the production of ethanol and aguardente. The monitoring pointed out that few technologies are protected in the last 20 years on the subject and when it comes to the technologies of interest only two patents have been found.
