| Resumo: | This paper aims to reconstruct the idea of the good in Hegel, from the perspectives of Logic and Spirit, to contribute to the ethical-political debate between communitarians and liberals. The central argument here is that Hegelian Logic must be considered as an essential element of Hegel's ethical foundation; most of the time, ethics is based solely on the philosophy of Spirit. Therefore, the spiritual-logical whole is necessary to understand the totality of the idea of the good in the philosopher's work. Hegel's ethics will thus be seen as a contrast to the Kantian formalist foundation, widely used by liberals in the search for a moral universalism. |
