Descripción
Sumario:This study aimed to analyze the perception of managers of Brazilian companies about the fair trade movement. For this, interviews were conducted with managers of companies with a fair trade label. The results show that the fair trade label is effective in its purpose, since it ensures better working conditions and it helps to improve the welfare of workers. In addition, companies that have this label seem to increase sales at niche markets made up of people concerned about the conditions of workers in the production process. However, in general terms, the fair trade label does not seem to bring a significant trade attractive from the companies"™ point of view.
