Sumario:Because it is still not widely used to study techniques to adjust an implement for planting conditions, such as type of tillage, planting speed is needed to enable its use and its adoption by farmers. Aimed to evaluate the efficiency of the planter Bazuca 2 (4 lines) – Planti Center® brand as the coverage of cuttings, and plant development through the rate of sprouting and plant height in both tillage systems, direct and conventional. The study was conducted at the Experimental Farm Lageado belonging to the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences - UNESP, Botucatu, SP. The design was a randomized block design with 2x4 factorial arrangement, with two tillage systems (no tillage and conventional tillage) and four speeds (3.0, 4.0, 6.0 and 7.0 km h-1 ), with four replications. The values were subjected to analysis of variance and means compared by Tukey test at 10% probability. It was observed that increasing the speed reduces the efficiency of coverage of manioc, the rate of sprouting and plant height in no-tillage system.
