| Resumo: | Objective: To identify the adaptations that occurred in hemodialysis centers to prevent infection by the new coronavirus. Methodology: integrative review with 15 studies chosen for analysis, raised on the basis of Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), in Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online (MEDLINE) and in the Spanish Bibliographic Index in Health Sciences (IBECS). Results: Main adjustments implemented: intensification of hand washing guidelines, use of a mask by patients during transportation and in the waiting room, use of individual protection equipment for professionals who are in direct contact with patients, rotation in dialysis shifts and distance from equipment. Conclusion: The study addressed a range of relevant adaptations in hemodialysis centers, with an emphasis on intensifying of standard and specific biosafety measures for the prevention of the new coronavirus. At adjustments in the routines of services are essential for the continuity of treatment with safety. |
