| Sumario: | This paper aims at associating the economic advances, concerning the oil revenues in the municipality of Campos dos Goytacazes, to the low performance of this municipality in the Basic Education Development Index (IDEB). The study was carried out from a historical review of the economic processes which the municipality went through, and a survey data about socio-economic indicators, so as to propose possible answers about the low performance of the public schools in the IDEB results. |
