| Resumo: | The present study analyzes the main historiographical approaches to the History of Itaboraí, highlighting the most relevant local themes to understand their historiographical paradigms and analytical modifications. More than presenting general information about the history of this municipality, we sought to insert it into an analytical framework that explains the problems and contributions of the main works about the history of the city. In this way, the objective is to contribute to future research and for the intensification of scientific production on Local History, where methodology, proof of hypotheses, comparative analysis of primary sources and the historiographic dialogue begin to be more implemented and valued. This is a work on the writing of the History of Itaboraí, with an emphasis on research that initiated or broke with the historiographic paradigms existing in local production. |
