Rubiaceae was represented by 12 species belonging to nine genera. The most representative genera were: Borreria, with three species (B. ocymifolia, B. scabiosoides and B. verticillata) and Spermacoce, with two species (S. eryngioides and S. prostrata). All the other genera presented only one species: Diodia saponariifolia, Gonzalagunia dicocca, Hexasepalum apiculatum, Mitracarpus baturitensis, Perama hirsuta, Richardia grandiflora and Sabicea grisea. Descriptions, comments, geographical distribution maps and an identification key to species are provided.
