| Resumo: | This research consists of the taxonomic treatment of aquatic and marsh flora of Rubiaceae in the Recôncavo basin. The specimens analyzed were collected from October/2009 to April/2019 totaling ca. 30 field trips, which were deposited in the Bahia Recôncavo Herbarium (HURB). Rubiaceae was represented by 12 species belonging to nine genera. The most representative genera were: Borreria, with three species (B. ocymifolia, B. scabiosoides and B. verticillata) and Spermacoce, with two species (S. eryngioides and S. prostrata). All the other genera presented only one species: Diodia saponariifolia, Gonzalagunia dicocca, Hexasepalum apiculatum, Mitracarpus baturitensis, Perama hirsuta, Richardia grandiflora and Sabicea grisea. Descriptions, comments, geographical distribution maps and an identification key to species are provided. |
