| Sumario: | This work presents the results of the partnership between the National Park of Jericoacoara/CE and the National Center for Research and Conservation of Sociobiodiversity Associated with Traditional Peoples and Communities for the characterization and management of tourism with seahorses carried out in the Park since the mid-2000s, with a view to the organization of this activity and its adaptation to the internal regulations of the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation. During the development of the work, the historical recovery of this activity in the Park was carried out, as well as training workshops for the conductors of visitors who work there. Among the results achieved are: the diagnosis of the activity, training of conductors and exchange of information between different sectors involved, verifying the need for their requalification. It is concluded that it is necessary that the planning of tourism with seahorses in the Park continues to occur in a participatory manner and based on the unit's management instruments, bringing new perspectives for its development and contributing to its development in accordance with socio-environmental sustainability. |
