Resumo:This article is part of my master's research dedicated to the study of naming, bureaucracies and the notion of Person. Here I describe and analyse how different symbolic elements interact in family configurations to produce and locate children in the webs of kinship. Elements of negotiation, memory or homage to the dead, forbidden names, names altered in the light of the way in which the pregnancy developed, etc. During my research, I was interested in finding out what led to the choice of certain names for children. These give us elements to think about the dynamics of kinship and its production. It is from two of these ‘causos’ that I try to unfold analyses of symbolism, imagery, projection, the gestation process, memories, affiliations and the location of this child in a particular part of the family. Finally, since naming is an obligation, I discuss the implications for the dynamics of kinship production when mothers/fathers don't name.
