| Summary: | In June 2019, The Intercept Brasil started a series of reports exposing conversations in the digital application Telegram obtained by an anonymous source, involving members of Operation Car Wash, showing various attitudes and conversations with highly controversial content. These reports - which became popularly known as “Vaza Jato” - caused great repercussions in the legal, political, and media, as they rekindled the debate about the credibility and impartiality of Car Wash. The objective of this work is to analyze the content of the dialogues revealed by the journal, based on its presumption of veracity, in order to investigate whether the conduct of the members of the Operation could be classified as irregular or not. The methodology used for the elaboration of the research was the analytical-documental and theoretical-bibliographic. To do so, from the premises of the accusatory procedural system, the main dialogues revealed by The Intercept Brasil portal were analyzed, as well as a selection of the messages released by the STF as a result of “Operation Spoofing”. |
