Se muestra que tras la noción de área natural protegida subyace una cierta idea de nación ligada a la consideración del uso del tiempo libre de sus ciudadanos. El recorte temporal seleccionado permite, además, visualizar la existencia de proyectos antagónicos en relación al turismo, que anteceden una resolución incompleta entre la consideración del turismo como actividad económica y el turismo como actividad social.This paper discusses the history of tourism in natural protected areas during the years 1935 and 1955. It is based on an emblematic tourist region: The Nahuel Huapi Park and the town a San Carlos de Bariloche. It shows that behing the notion of "protected area" a certain imagen of nation and citizenship are consolidated. The selected period reveals the prensence of two antagonistic projects on tourism, one focusing on economic development and the other recognizing the social dimension of tourism.Fil: Nuñez, Paula Gabriela.
