| Resumo: | Showmatch has remained, almost unchanged, on the screen for more than a decade. It is a flagship of Argentine broadcast television. The rest of the programming is organized around and conditioned by it. It creates ad hoc programs and generates topics included in the agenda of other media. We are interested in the analysis of Showmatch from a double objective. Firstly, we want to study the characteristics of the program. Secondly, we will go in depth into the forms of consumption and the preferences of the audience who watch Showmatch. The two objectives are structured around a hypothesis: the constitutive and permanent elements of the program do not necessarily determine the choice of the audience. The methodological design articulates the empirical inquiry on the preferences and forms of consumption with the reflection on the characteristics of the program. |
