Summary:[EN]Thymus section Serpyllum is a very complex group, some species of which have undergone intense diversification processes due, principally, to the climatic changes of the last glacial periods. There are also several other taxa which presummably arose prior to the glaciations and are now restricted to arid environments in Asia and North Africa. The distribution of the Spanish taxa included in this section is presented.
