Resumo:[EN] Unfortunately, the restoration of a monument and the adjustment of its urban surroundings do not always go together. The opportunity to provide a suitable public space for the newly restored Miguelete doorway of Valencia Cathedral arose as a result of the competition for the remodelling of Reina square, organized by the Professional Association of Architects of the Valencian Community with the collaboration of the City Council. It is in the hands of the latter to put into practice the project that won the first prize and put an end to the long and controversial history of the square.
