| Resumo: | The curriculum used to teach biology have become challenging for students from different cultural backgrounds, with multiple perspectives and ways of understanding the world. Interculturalism, on the other hand, recognizes the importance of cultural heterogeneity and perspectives for understanding science. Our goal, therefore, is to analyze how the topic "The Origin of Life" is approached by teachers in lessons made available on YouTube. To do so, we used netnographic methodologies to analyze two video lessons on the topic on the platform. In our analyses, biology classes on YouTube also carry pedagogies that overvalue scientific knowledge to the detriment of students' mystical-cultural knowledge. Interculturality in teacher education can be a way to build culturally sensitive approaches to cultural diversity. |
