| Resumo: | This article discusses how anticlericalism was expressed in the newspaper O Livre Pensador, published from 1903. In the pages of the newspaper one can identify the peculiarities of anticlericalismo in national and international scope and its relation with other Ideological manifestations such as socialism and positivism. On the other hand, one can also analyze both their relationship with workers’ organizations andthe clashes between anticlericals and the Catholic Church in the First Republic. |
